Account & Data Deletion

Effective date: February 15, 2026

Overview

Ordo allows you to permanently delete your account and all associated personal data at any time. You have two options:

  • Self-service deletion — delete your account directly in the iOS app, Android app, or on the web.
  • Contact us — request partial data deletion without removing your account.

Delete Your Account

Deleting your account permanently removes your profile and all personal data from Ordo. This action cannot be undone.

iOS App

  1. Open the Ordo app.
  2. Tap the Settings gear icon.
  3. Scroll down to Delete Account.
  4. Tap the delete button and enter your password to confirm.
  5. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Android App

  1. Open the Ordo app.
  2. Tap the Settings gear icon.
  3. Scroll down to Delete Account.
  4. Tap the delete button and enter your password to confirm.
  5. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Web

  1. Sign in at ordo.church.
  2. Navigate to Settings.
  3. Scroll down to Delete Account.
  4. Click Delete Account Permanently and enter your password to confirm.
  5. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Note: If you are the sole admin of a parish, you must assign another admin before deleting your account.

What Data Is Deleted

The following data is permanently and irreversibly removed when you delete your account:

  • User profile (name, email) and authentication credentials
  • Push notification tokens (all platforms)
  • Parish memberships
  • Notifications addressed to you
  • Join events and analytics tied to your account
  • Invites and join codes you created
  • Prayer requests you submitted and prayer votes you cast
  • Blocked member records associated with your account
  • Channel read state and notification preferences

What Data Is Retained (Anonymized)

Certain parish content you contributed is retained so that parish operations are not disrupted. All personal information is removed and replaced with “[deleted user]”:

  • Mass packets — content is preserved; creator and editor attribution is replaced with “[deleted user]”
  • Messages in parish channels — message text is preserved; sender identity is removed
  • Sent and scheduled notifications — notification content is preserved; sender identity is removed
  • Parish content (events, songs, templates) — content is preserved; creator attribution is removed

No personal information remains linked to any anonymized records after deletion.

Data Retention Period

Account and personal data deletion is immediate and permanent. There is no grace period or recovery window. Anonymized parish content is retained indefinitely to support ongoing parish operations. No personal data is retained after deletion.

Delete Data Without Deleting Your Account

If you would like to delete specific data without removing your entire account, you can contact us to request partial data deletion. Data that can be deleted on request includes:

  • Prayer requests and prayer votes
  • Messages in parish channels
  • Notification preferences
  • Push notification tokens
  • Other user-generated content

To request partial data deletion, email us at ordochurch@gmail.com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request” and a description of what you would like removed. We will respond within 30 days.
